The reason why I just can't walk to my granddad's place, ada tah tu duduk-duduk ampir tampat sampah, giving this fierce face and the more i yell and stomp my foot to get rid of it, the fiercer the face, making me retreat back to my house.
The closest I have ever been near a monkey was this one time when I woke up at around 6-ish AM on a school day by a knock on the window. Turns out it was a monkey, exposing his gigi and it took a piercing scream to get rid of it. And I swear, that happened three days in a row for some reason. Ia tah pulang bangunkan aku skulah. Don't know what made it stop knocking on my window, it would've been a better routine to be woken up a grinning monkey. Mati kali ia after the third day ah, inda ia dapat lagi buat duties nya atu.
They've been a nuisance to us since we started living here. I've got my granddad, 2 of my cousins' families living nearby and yesterday during lunch at my granddad's place, my cousins and I shared some stories about them stealing stuff like mangoes from our trees. And the annoying bit is that they only took a bite sekali buang tia
My cousin sorang ani ceritakan how he bought a slingshot and have been trying to shoot the monkeys tapi nada kana saja. My other cousin, being so unfortunate to have his house sebalah hutan, told me how he tried to soak the mangoes with lada, Sasak when the monkeys suka tia pulang. Buang durian at them doesn't help either.
Rice cooker pun pandai tia jua dicurinya ani wah. Berparty kali dalam hutan atu. And once, the monkeys even watched my cousins have their lunch from the kitchen window. Probably been watching them cook rice to know how the rice cooker works. I suggest next, ampaikan tah extension, curinya kali tu jua. Pakai power supply dorang tapinya.
And stealing isn't enough for them. They even pernah swim arah my cousin's swimming pool lagi tu. Yatah my cousin kan bagi sabun tu nanti arah his swimming pool ah.
We're still thinking on how best to kanakan these ambuks. Bari sakit hati wah, mangoes half-eaten, sampah everywhere arah the road, my cats kana kacau oleh dorang.
Oh, forgot to mention we managed to capture one of the ambuks. Kept it in a cage. Frenzied at first but after a while, we managed to tame it, sometimes he entertains us and we give a banana. Is never without his purple blanket. We call him Jimmy.
Not, alum lagi sehari, pacah tia cage nya ah.
We're onto them, especially you, Jimmy.
