Finally went to my Architecture Class.
It was awesome. At first the lecturer, H, was a lot to take in. He was very blunt and curses a lot and I was thinking what a nightmare the second year's going to be with him teaching us. And he was very strict in attendance, and kept stressing how you're not going to get through the course if you just missed one class and was specific on what to bring for the class.
Since I missed the first lecture last week, I just found out that we were supposed to present a model of a house and most of them was already prepared. Luckily, the ones including me who missed last week's lecture was excused as we had a good reason (you'd know if you read my previous post).
As each of my classmates presented their work one by one, I began to change my mind about H. He's absolutely hilarious and I like the way he describes things.
"Eet is very preetty but also so crunchee"
I have no idea what he means by that. He was commenting on one of my classmate's work when he said that. I can't figure out his accent but it sounds really funny when he says "Bloody" or "Crap".
"I didn't bring my work with me today because I've made some changes to it and it's not ready yet."
"You should've just brought your model today"
"I don't want to, because I didn't like the earlier design, I wasn't happy with it. It's like..."
".. Crap?"
And when he likes something, he gets VERY excited and his face turns a bit red. And he loves it when he's being funny. He'd be a very great cartoon character, with his round body, red bald head, white hair and a very large vein on his head. I can't stop looking at it tadi.
He was showing this slideshow of pictures of houses, plans and buildings and the more he goes further into the slideshow, the more excited he got until finally we reached the plans to his own house. Here I think he got pretty hyped up with talking about his house that he actually started spitting until eventually one time his spit fell onto my classmate's head without him noticing (he was sitting down). But he's got a reason to be iski, the interior of his house looks amazing, atu pun baru ia liatkan his living room.
So he gave us 2 things to do for next week. One was a model of a house based on a concept we've chosen from the lecture notes and one was a slice for an artist we need to design complete with roof, basement and fire escape.
I can't wait to get started. Designing 2 houses in a week? It's gonna take up a lot of my free time and most of the weekend. But it'll be really fun. I'd start now if I already have my sketchbook and white cardboard, but the only time I can go and buy them will be on Wednesday :( in the meantime, I'll just try to finish up the minor yet unbelievably boring assignments from my other modules.
I will forever hate Tuesdays. Scratch that, probably just this semester.
Bah, sambung bersihkan bilik. You know with almost 2 weeks being here, I haven't gotten around to do that?
Being in my room's like a treat. You will know why if you ever come here and see my room.
